Description
Potawatomi indians, known as the "Fire Keepers" were primarily in the upper mid-west and Canada, along with the Ottawa and Ojibwe (Odawa) tribes. Most were pushed to the west by European/American encroachment in the late 18th century. However, some bands survived in the midwest, and are federally recognized as tribes today, even owning casinos. (You are welcome to come and bring money.)
